Rhinos Rewind: Catalans Dragons

Ahead of Leeds Rhinos and Catalans going head to head on Saturday evening, we've gone into the archives to pull out a clash for the ages between the two clubs, and a player that represented both the Dragons and Rhinos during their careers.

Take a look...

Classic Clash

2017's trip to Perpignan was one that Leeds wouldn't forget on the road to winning the Grand Final, as Brian McDermott's side produced a huge comeback to defeat the Dragons 30-24.

After falling ten points behind on the scoreboard early on, the Rhinos looked to have scuffed their chances of a result when Richie Myler set up Remi Casty for Catalans' fourth try, but fightback was led by departing duo Rob Burrow and Danny McGuire who scored the pick of the tries in the last 15 minutes to level the score, and then win the match 30-24.

Played for both - Brent Webb

Best known in Super League for his time in blue and amber, Brent Webb was one of the most exciting overseas recruits the club has signed.

Arriving from New Zealand Warriors in 2007, the full back got to work quickly in his debut Leeds season by finishing as the club's joint-top try scorer in the competition that year, and lifted the Super League trophy against St Helens. A consistent performer throughout his days at Headingley, he added his Super League rings in 2009 and 2011, after missing out in 2008 through injury, and featured in the 2008 World Club Challenge win over Melbourne too.

Injury ruled him out of his Rhinos swansong as he moved to Catalans for 2013 where he played a handful of times before retiring in 2014.
